This is what we are losing!
Since becoming the responsibility of developers Ockham and Marutūāhu in 2025, Carrington Building One has fallen into a shocking state of disrepair. Vandals, thieves and the elements have all taken their toll. And it’s only getting worse.

Cachet Foundation is petitioning the Government to weatherproof and repair the roof and windows of Carrington Building One. Please, go to the link below and sign the petition, otherwise Ockham and Marutūāhu’s “demolition by neglect” will continue.
We really appreciate your ongoing support and hope this petition, and your signature, is a step to help speed up the repair of Carrington Building One.

As one of Auckland’s most important Heritage buildings, this neglect is simply unacceptable. Carrington Building One must be restored to it’s former glory, starting now. That means first repairing the damaged roof before anything else is done: it’s up to us to make that happen.
TOGETHER, LET’S MAKE OUR VOICE HEARD!
